Bulk release, folder upload, and a redesigned dashboard
Release up to 200 files to client review at once, upload entire folders with their subfolders, and see what needs attention on the redesigned dashboards.
Three changes this week, all aimed at cutting down repetitive clicks between exports and delivery: releasing a whole batch of deliverables to client review at once, uploading complete folder structures in one drop, and a redesigned dashboard focused on today's priorities.
Release a batch of files to client review at once
Previously, handing off a set of retouched stills or cutdowns meant opening each file to release it individually—and flooding your client's inbox with dozens of separate notification emails.
Now you can select your files on the Files tab and click Release in the floating action bar. The current version of every selected file goes to client review in a single step (up to 200 files at once). If your client can already see some of the files, Studioscope automatically skips them and notes the count in your confirmation. Instead of an inbox deluge, your client receives a single notification linking straight to the Review tab. Recalling a release remains intentional, handled one file at a time. See Files and Approvals for how release and sign-off work together.
Upload complete folders without rebuilding them
Recreating a shoot's local folder tree in a project used to mean creating blank folders one by one, naming them, and dragging assets into each folder separately.
The project Upload menu now includes Upload folder. Pick a folder from your computer and Studioscope recreates the exact hierarchy—including subfolders—and places each file in its matching folder. Hidden system files like .DS_Store are automatically skipped. If you just need a blank folder on the fly, the Files toolbar now has a dedicated New folder button right beside the name field.
Dashboards focused on today's priorities
Both the studio and client dashboards have a calmer layout designed around what needs action next.
For your team, the hero banner carries your studio's accent color with headline metrics, keeping your top change request front and center. A dedicated side rail shows today's deadlines, active projects, recent updates, and onboarding progress at a glance.
For clients, the view cuts straight to the work waiting on them: a prominent Start reviewing button groups pending files by project, with unpaid invoices and project chat right below.
Also this week
- File-type aware releases: The release dialog now names the exact asset being shared—"this image," "this document," or "this track"—reserving "cut" and version numbers strictly for video.
- Review tab polish: Review cards now show note counts, and status pills stack neatly two-up on mobile instead of clipping in a scrolling row.
- Admin notifications: Hired creators are scoped to project deliverables, so signed-scope PDFs, scope alert notifications, and billing emails now go strictly to the studio founder and active admins.
