Share links, a weekly summary, and in-app feedback
Usage licences priced three ways, re-copyable share links, a weekly summary for admins, and feedback sent right from the app.
This week's changes cover how a usage licence is priced, how share links hold up over time, what a studio admin sees at a glance, and how you talk to us.
Usage licences, priced three ways
You can now set usage licence pricing in three ways: Included in the fee, Calculated from your day rate, or as a Fixed amount. Whichever you choose, the licence terms (medium, reach, duration, exclusivity) remain visible on the line. Additionally, negotiating a price no longer strips its terms; the licence stays intact and simply converts to a fixed amount. The pricing model itself is unchanged — see the pricing guide for the reasoning behind splitting a quote this way, and Scopes & quotes for the builder.
Share links with retrievable URLs
Previously, a share link's URL was only visible at the moment of creation. Now, you can re-copy any link's URL from the Share tab at any time. You can also edit a link's name, password, expiry, and permissions after it's been created, giving you more control if a link leaks or needs updating. If a link's URL leaks, or you just want to cut off access immediately, "Get a new URL" disables the old URL and generates a new one for the same link, instead of making you delete and recreate it. Changing a link's password also signs out anyone who'd already unlocked it with the old password. The list of a project's share links — names, view counts, and who created each one — is now staff-only; a client with project access can no longer see it.
A weekly summary for admins
Studio admins have a new Weekly summary page, linked from the dashboard: at-risk projects with the specific reason flagged on each row (a missed deadline, blocked or overdue tasks, approvals that have sat too long), how many approvals are waiting on you versus your clients, and which invoices are unpaid or overdue. Each row links straight to where the work actually happens — Schedule, Review, or the project's Business tab.
Send us feedback, right from the app
There's now a Send feedback option in the user menu for a bug report or an idea — no need to find an email address or leave the app. You'll see our reply and the status on a new page inside Studioscope, and get notified the moment either one changes. This provides a convenient alternative to our contact page for when you're already working in the app.
Also this week
Equipment checkout can now be linked to a shoot on your calendar, so the booking dates fill in for you instead of being typed twice. Cal.com has been removed from Settings — scheduling runs entirely on Studioscope's own calendar feeds now. You'll receive notifications when invited users join, and designated admins will receive the same notifications as the founder. We also fixed a handful of smaller issues: a Members bug that could save an invited teammate with the wrong role, a sign-up snag for invited clients, a rare upload bug that could create a duplicate file instead of a new version, and a Safari animation glitch on collapsible panels. The full list, including everything smaller than this, is on the changelog.
